  1. Thank you, I was hoping that was the answer
  2. I currently have a 900bt in my 2004 toyota tundra that I installed several years ago with the help of this forum. I would like to upgrade to a AVIC-8200NEX. My question is the wiring connections and plugs compatible between the two or is it a start over install?? Thanks in advance for replies/help rich
  3. Is there a way to delet just one of your "favorites" or is the "clear all" the only option??? Thanks....
  4. I just finished my install the other night and I'm having the same issues with VR... I am paired to a motorola Razor. I can say Call by number 1234567 and it works fine but it will not recognize any of the contacts...
  5. thanks for the info...
  6. I just got finished with the wiring harnesses on my tundra install. With all the great info on this site this part went pretty easy. I have also located the vss and backup wire(behind left kick panel). Along with the 900bt "kit" came a pruple/white wire with a 'fuse resistor" built in. This is the wire they give you to run to rear to connect to your backup light wire for the backup camera. I'm not sure I know what a "resistor fuse" is... My question is since I'm only going a short distance to the kick panel do i need to use this wire with the resistor in it?? thanks in advance
  7. thanks for the info.... I think I've located it while I can't tell/see if it's pin 17 it is in the lower right side of the connector...

    2004 Tundra

Hi guys, I searched the forums and have gotten answers to most everyting but I have found some conflicting info regarding the location of the VSS wire on the ecm. I have a 2004 tundra and couldn't find a specific reference for that year but did find locations for other years. I have read either pin 17, 35 pin connector ... pin 28 or pin 6 on the 22 pin connector. All do state green/orange. If anyone can verify the location on an 04 Tundra V8 It would be appreciated/ I did post this on the Vehicle Specific Wiring forum but did get too many "look sees" thought I try this forums... th

  10. Thanks for clearing that up....
  11. I appoligize ahead of time for what may seem to be a lame question but I have read throuhg just about all the threads in the "Z series" forums and while I've learned alot about this system I'm still confused on one point.... If I buy a brand new AVIC Z2X system with a recent build date do I get the most current maps?? or the two yeard old ones???
  12. Stephen, is there a difference in the Z2 and Z2X??? I thought they were one and the same....
  13. Thanks for the ebay seller info Stephen but the site I'm looking at has them for about $300 cheaper that's why I'm concerned....
  14. has anyone purchased a unit from an outfit called "cameraprofessionals.com"??? They seem to have good prices but after reading about all the nightmares on ebay I'm wondering if internet purchase are just a bad....
