gaqua
I'm trying to find the answer to this but I'm not sure. Right now I've got a 2007 GMC Sierra with the Avic D3 in it. I've never really been happy with the sound quality or the sluggish response from the iPod control, so I'm thinking of upgrading to the F90bt. I have the PAC adapter for the steering wheel controls, as well as the one for the door chimes/Onstar. I've currently got the SIR-PNR1 or whatever, for Sirius. I've also got the iPod cable hooked up. Most of the time I'm either listening to Sirius or the iPod - is it worth it to upgrade? A place locally will sell me the F90bt for $650 cash in hand, and they're an authorized dealer. I could probably sell the Avic-D3 on Craigslist for $300-$350. So does it make sense to do this? Is it worth it? Also - will it be an easy plug & play swap, or will I need new harnesses? madsonp
The harnesses are the same, the only thing is if you did the by-pass on the D-3 you'll need to relocate the yellow mute wire to a different location for the by-pass to work in the F90
CamelTowing
You'll also have to swap the end of the GPS antenna wire on the head unit side if you want to save the time of running a new GPS antenna. The f series has a different plastic connector...very minor switch
