tycoonbob Posted February 11, 2009 Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 So I haven't posted on here in a while, and I can't seem to find anything about this, but is there a way to make the map be north facing in 3D mode and not rotate as you take turns? I would enjoy that so much more...but I don't know if it can be done. Sorry if it has been talked about, I just can't seem to find anything about it with the search, and it's after 2AM...blah blah. quick answer/how to would be great. Thanks so much. Imagine you were traveling south, but the unit was rendering the 3D view locked in North "up" (which would really mean the view would be looking north). The view would be of what was behind you, and you wouldn't be able to see anything coming up! Definitely not very functional when it comes to navigation. skicrave Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 Actually, most navigation systems do track up in 2D, and some do north up. The F-Series is the exact opposite, with north up being the only option. Don't ask why, just another one of the ridiculous "features" Pioneer and iGo developed.
