UofMBob Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 I got the Avic F700BT and knowing that it did not fit into my 2005 Ford Escape went ahead and did my own install. I need to find a DDin kit for it that will keep it secure. I found what was supposed to be a kit for fords at circuit city, but the trim is too large. Anybody with ideas? ScottyP Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 i'd look up ur car on metra and see wha they recomend. if not you might have to dremmel that bad boy you already got from CC=) my kit worked fine but for w/e reason the 07 & up jeeps with factory double dins have a metal bracket in the back to hold the stock HU in place. that being said any other unit on the market is larger then the stock HU lol so to get my F90 to fit me n my buddy had to whip out the dremmel and saw out the metal harness out of my dash to do so... lol HUGE pain in the ass.
