S4
This is not post to complain about it and was unable to replicate it since but yesterday on my way home I was checking out smart zoom (I never use it) and after the light turned green I noticed that the map is slightly zoomed out, more than usual and it was not moving with me but the arrow kept going So I kept watching it and the map would zoom out where needed to keep the arrow on the screen and the arrow just kept going and it was correct and represented my true location. I was on the phone at the time so couldn't take a photo. After I pushed Map button it reset itself and it was OK from that point on. It made me laugh more than anything. paQ
That happens when navigating in 3D mode and (accidentally) touching the map itself. It then gets foccussed on that specific point. As you stated, when pressing MAP, it resets the map view again.
S4
The thing is that I did not touch or do anything with the unit. Like I said I was on the phone plus driving manual so I had no hands left
skicrave
It probably had something to do with the fact you were on the phone. Like paQ said though, that's exactly what happens when the red crosshairs (remember that other thread we had complaining about them) come up on the screen.
S4
I don't use BT for the phone because it doens't work on my iPhone. At any rate, now I see what you were complaining about and how the crosshairs can drive you mad. I didn't understand it before since I never ran into it.
skicrave
What about the bluetooth doesn't work with your phone? Mine works perfectly (everything but SMS alert). Yeah, those crosshairs can be annoying, but at least it's easy to fix.
S4
Sorry I meant BT on the iPhone doens't work at all. I can't pair it with anything. Not even my iMac which Avic seems to pick up from the garage It's all good. I don't use the phone in the car unless absolutely necessary anyway. I've tried my lady's iPhone and it works so it's not the unit. Oh, how is the crosshair fixable? I didn't see that.
