Retell
Apparently there is an unofficial build of TCPMP! It is like a bastard between TCPMP & Coreplayer, will try it out in a few hours. My Temporary LeetLoader menu:
leetcoder
I actually already started on this TCMP project with source code. If you would like to continue the modification I can put it up for public. My project should support sound for the Pioneer Deck. I made some minor modification to make it car friendly, however I stopped this project due to the fact that you can not output sound for all speakers in teh car, Only 2 front speaker will work. Also another reason, the processing speed of the pioneer deck will not be able to play some high def video however, by default the back end player of the pioneer deck will able to play it flawlessly since it is an actual hardware decoder in the backend unit. I feel that it is pointless to use tcmp when you actually have a better video player built in. The TCMP project i was using should be able to play all popular format, just need to finish interfacing for car use.
bigdog660
That sounds interesting. As mentioned earlier, All I'm looking for is MKV and AVI container support, MPEG-4 ASP and AVC video codec cupport, and AC3, AAC, FLAC and MP3 audio codec support. I'd be one happy camper if we can make that a reality.
leetcoder
Yes, i believe the source code I was working with support all that. It is the last version when it was free and some mod for the support of all those format. Like I said there are some catches in using TCMP. (slow,no full sound)
Retell
TCPMP .84 supports all that as well and runs everything as good as Coreplayer. I'm sorry Leetcoder, but TCPMP seems far superior than the integrated player. Every video except for my iPod videos are extremely choppy and sluggish.
leetcoder
trust me i tested some high quality video and the deck were able to handle it whereas the tcmp didn't (choppy). Having rear speaker+front+pioneer sound module > than only front speaker using tcmp.
Retell
The stock couldn't handle a 600mb MP4 cartoon (1 frame every 2 seconds) While TCPMP was giving me about 20 frames per second.
xdanx
Any progress with this project?
Retell
I am investigating the sound issue, I would like to know what is being changed on for these "sound fixes" on TomTom and iGo8 to get the full sound working.
xdanx
I think leetcoder modified the igo8.exe file because I tried upgrading to a new version and replaced the igo8.exe and the sound was gone.
Retell
Thanks Dan, sorry for the progress delay, my AVIC had died and I just got it back from service
