thedilleyo
I have a question regarding the AUX input of a Z3. If I have a XM NavTraffic receiver (GEX-P10XMT) connected to both the IP Bus and Data input, would I still be able to use a CDRB10 cable and connect that to the GEX-P10XMT for another audio device (Just an audio source, no video needed). How would the Z3 know which is being used?
thedilleyo
No one knows if you can still use the AUX port for another audio source if you have the XM NavTraffic module plugged in?
garrettoomey
Yes, you can. The IP bus cable will map the CD-RB10 to the AUX input and the XM is mapped to the XM input. From the Z owner's manual: Operating the AUX input source (AUX) An IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector such as CDRB20/CD-RB10 (sold separately) lets you connect your navigation system to auxiliary equipment featuring RCA output. For more details, refer to the IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector owner’s manual. Selecting [AUX] as the source 1 [AUX Input] is set to [On]. 2 Touch the source icon and touch [AUX]. Just plug the CD-RB10 into the XM unit, provide power, and turn AUX input 'on'.
thedilleyo
That's what I kind of thought, but it's good to get confirmation. Thanks!
