F90BT/F900BT Video Output ?s

Hi all. My name is Tom. I'm considering the 90BT or 900BT.

 

I tried to search, but it kept telling me my words are too common. I didn't know "external" was common. I didn't see it in FAQ either.

 

Anyway, these units only have video output, and apparently no no audio output other than the speakers. Does that mean audio from DVD is only through the speakers? Meaning, for instance, my kids can't watch a video in the back seat with headphones while I listen to the radio? That is, if they're watching a movie, I have to listen to the audio? ("Swiper no swiping" would get real old real quick!)

 

If this is the case, is there any way to get around it? I hope this isn't the case, cuz my scenario seems like one that most people would want.

F Series doesn't support that feature.

The Kenwood 5120 does though.. Dual Zone is pretty nice i gotta admit if you have kids..

Thanks for the quick replies.

 

I discovered that the N5 has dual-zone, but not built-in bluetooth. I'm not going to pay that much, then have to pay another 100+ for a bluetooth module. And any of the AVICs with built-in bluetooth don't have dual-zone.

 

I'll take a look at the Kenwoods.

I have a dvd drop down in the back for the kids, all wireless. I have the video out cables run from the 900 to the drop down, so everyone can listen and watch a movie on both screens if disired. Cannot listen wirelessly from the 900, only from the drop down directly.
