08LaRam
I have an 08 Dodge 1500 with the factory sirius antenna. Can I make this work with my Avic Z1(w/Z3 update) using an XM adapter/interface. If so, how? The XM is currently working fine with the little stick-on antenna (mounted on my dash) but I would really like to be able to make use of the Sirius antenna on the roof of my truck. garrettoomey
I am using the stock Sirius antenna from my 07 Dodge Ram with teh Pionner XM nav traffic unit. I had to remove the plastic housing from the stock antenna wire so that it would fit.

1loudls
you will need to find where the factory sirius module goes and put your xm module in its place, also a lot of the time the connector is very similar but not 100% the same so you will need to remove the plastic connector to plug it in
1loudls
or you can use a 50' home ant extension to put the module where ever you want it
garrettoomey
The factory sirius unit is behind the glove box on the Dodge Ram.
