No album art when using Media Monkey?

Recommended Posts

I just got my F90BT and I noticed none of my album art from my Ipod Classic 160gig is showing up on the unit. I was able to resolve this problem by using Itunes to sync my music back to my Ipod. But I absolutely HATE Itunes, so I use MediaMonkey to manage and sync my music instead. I did find another thread here that mentioned missing art when using MediaMonkey instead of Itunes. Has anyone found a resolution to the problem yet or must I use Itunes to get my art to show up on my F90BT? Would changing the Pioneer Ipod cable out to an official "Apple"cable help

If we can get enough user feedback on this issue, we can direct the MediaMonkey developers to this thread and possibly have them resolve this for us. Please, FREE ME FROM ITUNES!! Thanks for everyones feedback!

Electrically, the Apple cable and the Pioneer cable are functionally the same. The Pioneer cable is manufactured in China, and there have been some quality issues with the Pioneer cable. I'm not aware of a solution to getting the album art work to display, when the iPod was synced with MediaMonkey. I just started using MediaMonkey, so I hope a fix is in the works. Did you use the audio leveling feature? And did it remain after you re-synced your iPod with iTunes?

The cable has nothing to do with your issue,

Nor is the fact that you're using Media Monkey to transfer the music, it's the managing and ripping of the music where the issue is coming in.

The issue is that your artwork for the MP3 itself isn't right, and that's something that itunes normally tries to fix for you.

There are other album art repair programs out there, the key is making sure they embed the artwork in the MP3.

All my album art is embedded, no external images. Media Monkey must be doing something slightly different than the Avic wants. FYI - I bought a 2009 Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD unit, then returned it due to the overall cost (my F90BT was cheaper!). But my album art worked on that unit perfectly using Media Monkey. That unit also uses a different Ipod cable than the Avic.
