i did a search and didnt find anything about this. i use to have the avic n2 and it got stolen and now i got s n3 and im bout to install it, well when i had my n2 i didnt hook up the pink wire to read the speed of the truck and all that, but it still would show my speed even though that wire was not hooked up, does anyone know if it has to be hooked up on the n3 to get the reading?? thanks

It doesn't have to be hooked up though it will make the system a bit more accurate. What kind of vehicle is it, might be able to get you the info you need to hook it up.

Speed Sense dk.green/white ECM
Notes: The ECM (Engine Control Module) is located near the battery, down low, between the fender and the fan under the black plastic cover. On the 4.3L, the VSS wire is in pin 3 in the connector labeled black. On the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, the VSS wire is located in pin 50 of the red connector.

that's where you an find the vss wire.

This is a hard one, I have the N2 installed in my 05 Freightliner M2 medium duty truck. The truck has multiplexed wiring and I can't identify the speed sensor wire. It is possible that the cruise control is pretty standard and maybe I could find the right wire there. If so, any idea which one?
