jb23fan
I tried to do a search but didn't come up with anything conclusive, so if you are going to respond to only grill me on that, I will just ignore it. Now on to the question if anyone would be kind enough to help: I installed a mod pack so to speak and it caused my MSN direct to quit working and made the system sort of unstable, so today I went to restore back to the original files, only to find my backup SD card is no longer reading. I think it may have got wet one day when I left my windows cracked by accident in the rain. Anyways, I am wondering. If I extract the 2.0 firmware, would that have all the default files I would need to put back in to put the unit back to stock 2.0 firmware? Thanks in advance for any help you may have. cmh928
I know of nothing that any mod can do to kill MSN Direct other than not being enabled in sys.txt. Try just copying a new Sys.txt first. Before you try re-installing, do a hard-reset. 1) Turn the car on, allow the unit to try and boot normally. 2) Once the unit boots, press the reset button and hold. 3) Press the eject button and hold. 4) Release the reset button while continuing to hold down eject. 5) Release the eject button once you hear the eject motor start going. 6) You should hear a pop through your speakers. If you don't, you did something wrong. 7) The unit should now boot normally.
