tonton
Hitman, maybe they were talking about the OEM dash kit. I got the scosche kit on ebay for around $30 and you will also need a wiring harness so you wont have to be splicing all sorts of cables. Yea the XM tuner is plug n play, open the dash plug it, hide it, enjoy it, that simple. And for Marky you are going to need to bypass the stock amp because the civic ex and SI come with a stock amplifier.
tonton
Hitman yea thats the dash kit you need. $150 sounds like a great deal to me.
markymrk99
The OEM Dash Kit is about $24 from the link I posted previous. The EX Sedan actually doesn't have a stock amplifier only the EX Coupe does so I think I'm ok. Don't ask me why it's this way but it is. I've been using the threads over at 8thcivic.com for info. You may want to browse there for info as well Hitman...

CGHitman14
Just a reminder, I'm driving a 2009 Honda Civic LX, Automatic Transmission w. Grey Interior. Factory stereo, stock everything. Â Hey man If it says premium sound on your radio than you definatly have an amplifier (look under the driver seat from the back and you should see it, its covered with a metal shell.) In my SI sedan I have and we have the same sound system as the 4dr EX.

In my SI sedan I have and we have the same sound system as the 4dr EX.  It actually doesn't say premium on my radio. Anywhere I can get these without having to buy the whole kit? If not....   Do I need anything else for installation? I plan on finding a place that will just take all these pieces with the AVIC-F90BT and just do the install. Then I can do any mods afterwards.  So how do I look here?  Here are the parts you will want:  - Navi dash panel (gun metallic) Honda Part #: 77250-sna-a01za (since you have the grey interior) - It sounds like you already have this  - Navi bracket (pass. Side) Honda Part #: 77255-sna-a00  - Navi bracket (drivers side) Honda Part #: 77256-sna-a00  - Scosche Double Din Trim Ring - Email Brandon Boll (brandb@scosche.com) at Scosche to purchase this part. Here is the email I sent to him a couple of weeks ago "I have a 2008 Honda Civic and I am looking for a replacement double din trim ring for a HA1561ETB Dash Kit. Is there a way to order a replacement from you guys? I searched your website but I couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance for your help." I just recieved this part a few days ago.  -Scosche HA10B Wiring Harness (which you mentioned)  - Scosche HAAB Antenna Adapter (which you mentioned)  You don't need the HA156ETB Installation Kit since you already have the OEM Dash Piece. The other parts you mention that are part of the kit which you might need are the two navi brackets and the double din trim ring. The navi brackets that come as part of the HA156ETB seem to be made of plastic whereas the ones I list above are the OEM brackets and are made of metal. I have these in hand and fit the F90BT. To get the double din trim ring email Brandon like I said above. The other parts pictured are the single din sleeve and the single din trim ring which you won't use as the F90bt is double din. Also the 'ETB' stand for Earth Taupe Brown which isn't the correct color for your interior, just FYI...  I have been researching this for awhile now and this should be all that you need. Like I said I will be installing this on Saturday and can let you know for sure but after recieving all of the parts and researching both this forum and 8thcivic.com I'm pretty confident nothing else is needed. RonH
I'm looking forward to seeing how this comes out as well. I picked up a 09 Civic LX last monday and am just waiting for my install kit before putting in my 900bt. Â Ron
markymrk99
Hey guys...got the unit installed. Started yesterday, took a break to go wine tasting and finished this morning. Overall not too bad of an installation. There were a few hiccups, most of them my fault but at least one was an issue with the unit. I installed the gps antenna in the stock location which is to the right of the speedo.  http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/i-c-e-el ... lease.html  I installed the microphone behind the slits in the center dash panel on the lower left side. I'm not exactly sure what this opening was originally for although I heard it was for a climate control sensor in a different vehicle. I guess it's a shared piece with another model car. Once I was able to get the phone to connect it seems to have good reception and people can here me well with it placed here so I am happy.  The problem I had with the bluetooth was that I couldn't get the unit to recognize any phone. I tried four different phones and nothing happened. So I got on this forum and searched for the solution and found this thread:  viewtopic.php?f=32&t=24057&p=164010#p164010  After installing the old bluetooth software (the software for the sony ericson and the samsung) I was able to connect my phone via bluetooth. I then updated back to the new software revision (Version: HW100-SW330 RC3) and my phone still connected. Problem solved. The other issues I had were with the tap slice connectors I was using were for a larger guage wire and so they weren't actually making contact with the wire. Once I redid all of the connections, it was all good.  Here's a pic. I have the F90bt, PAC SWI-PS steering wheel interface, ipod, and LG env...Thanks to everyone on the forum for your help. This is a great resource.

RonH
Looking good, I installed my unit yesterday, the only issue was where to put the XM unit, I ended up putting it under the passenger seat until I find a better place. Too bad pioneer doesn't make the XM unit smaller. Â Ron
tonton
I had the same problem with the XM unit.... I ended up putting it in the glove box (mine was empty) until i can find a better place. What about the XM antenna? where did you put it?
