jemey
i do not know if this has been discussed here or not.i have a 06 f-250 and i am having troubles connecting the brake wire. the 2 wires to the switch seem 2 be ground wires. i connected each wire seperately to the brake wire to the avic and neither work. i read this on ecoustics.com. "1. Ground the original parking wire (Must Do) 2. There will be a open pin in the wiring harness under the ground wire. You must also ground this pin. I just pulled the wire out from the cellular mute pin and stuck it in the new pin and grounded it." not that i don't beleive this person i just want to verify with others if this works with no complications. i do not want to damage my avic. thanks
Termist
That's old news :). Cliff notes on bypassing the D2: Ground empty harness pin with cellular mute, and ground parking brake wire. Done deal.
cntrylvr79
Unless you're me and need the cell mute wire. Then you grab an extra pioneer harness you have laying around and pull the ground pin from that and put it into the d1/2 harness. THe plus side of that is the color matches. Yay me :)
