Nick A Posted May 16, 2009 Report Share Posted May 16, 2009 Hey everyone, new owner of a D3 here. I purchased a display unit and it has a couple issues(yeah, I get what I pay for) : 1. Volume knob doesn't work. I'm picking up a remote this monday as an alternative solution, but would like to know if there is anyway to fix this? The rubber isn't spinning freely so I'm thinking it has been played with way too much in the store. Luckily its stuck at a level that isn't too loud nor silent. 2. Remote wire to amp does not work. I'm left with using the acc 12v/red wire to turn on my amp. Could it be that I'm using a wiring harness from a different Pioneer unit, or are the wiring harnesses the same? g35rider007 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Share Posted May 18, 2009 You should start by getting the proper wire harness for the avic d3 and go from there. About the volume knob, I've seen some stores on Ebay that fix issues with Avic units, I'm not sure if this includes cosmetics issues but it's worth to give it a try.
