rpankoe Posted May 20, 2009 Report Share Posted May 20, 2009 Does anyone know if the Avic-Z series will ever have an update or capability to search by municipality instead of the mailing address city? We have these installed in 2 of our ambulances and we are dispatched by the municipality and don't have the mailing address city. For instance, people in Hilltown Township, PA receive their mail through several different post offices depending on where they are. They could be Line Lexington, Hatfield, Hilltown, Chalfont, or Perkasie. All of these however are in Hilltown Township and that is the only information that we have when looking up an address. I know that the garmin GPS units DO search by local municipality. If this were an update or if there were a way to change this on the AVIC-Z series that would be terrific!
