richerdk Posted May 26, 2009 Report Share Posted May 26, 2009 Ok so I am buying an avic z1 off this guy, to make sure I don't get screwed I am going to use a 12V power supply... The one with the little clamps for positive and negitive, I am wondering which wire I hook up to positive and which one to negetive on the back of the z1? garrettoomey Posted May 26, 2009 Report Share Posted May 26, 2009 You can bench test any of it assuming your 12v power source is large enough. BLACK (ground) goes to -12v (Negative) YELLOW (constant) and RED (switched) go to +12v (Positive) Bluetooth only has 1 cable, and it will plug into the back of the Z. The Sat tuner will have an IP-Bus cable that will plug into the Z and it will also have YELLOW and BLACK power wires. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
