nickyrhodes
Hi all, Just installed my F700BT using an autoleads harness adapter to convert the rear speaker output to RCA level for the oem rear amp'd sub and speakers. Whenever the unit turns the amp on there is a high pitched whistling (sounds like an old camera charging the flash), its not ground loop as the engine isn't running and its there all the time only in the rear speakers. Tried swapping out the harness adaptor but still the same. Also waiting on a new mic today to see if i can make a call without shouting.... Any ideas....? cheers
nickyrhodes
Thought i'd post that i fixed this.... The crappy autoleads high/low circuit on the adaptor is just 4 resistors. Cut it out and changed for a seperate high/low convertor and its fixed. Incidentally i found it whistled when the signal ground connector for the rca's was disconnected so perhaps the two ground resistors could have been bypassed to cure it without the seperate adaptor
