Ray Man
Hey guys, I'm trying to install a backup camera in my 2009 Mustang to a F700BT but I am getting no picture. I have tried two different switched power sources, one behind the unit and one under the center console, both read 12v on a meter. All I get is a blank screen. The bullet cam has three leads, pos, gnd and video. I hooked the camera up to an AC adapter plugged into house current and it worked fine on the unit. I just don't get anything with the cars power leads. Any thoughts or recommendations? I'm going to try and hook it directly to the cars battery and see if it works from there, I'll let you know. I assume this needs to be connected to a switched power lead so the camera is not drawing power continuously? Thanks in advance! Ray
Ray Man
All is good in cameraville. Looks like I didn't have a proper ground. Now if I only knew where to find a switched positive lead in the trunk.
1loudls
dont you have to run a video cable up to the front anyway, just grab ground and acc behind the radio since it needs to come out anyway

StadEMS3
Wow, nice install! I take it you use the key fob to open the truck now?
