SVT Amateur Posted June 24, 2009 Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 I'm still running the stock OEM firmware and maps for my AVIC-D2 that I purchased back in 2006. I'm planning on upgrading to the 2008 series maps tonight or tomorrow but I was wondering if there would be upgrading to the 2006 or 2007 series maps before hand. I'm just making sure there aren't any additional options or upgrades I would have received by upgrading to the 2006 or 2007 series maps before upgrading to the 2008 series. Do these upgrades only affect the actual maps or are there also firmware updates for our units on the disks as well? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
