BuffaloSS
Connect the power & ground cable to the power and ground on the AVIC harness. Works fine for me that way. As for the RCA cable...what plug are you putting it into? What black tape? What type of aux device are you trying to connect?

Shadow_ice
Does anyone have a answer for this? I am trying to do the same thing with the RCA inputs in the back and am unable to hear any sound coming from my phone when i plug it in.
VBLUE42
The AV inputs on the back of the D3 is the AV1 input. Select VIDEO for the AV1 input in the settings on the D3 and then select AV1 as your audio source.
