midlifez
OK, anyone here have pointers regarding the Pioneer AVIC F7010BT (same as F700BT) antenna connections in a 2008 Audi A4 (B7)? I got the adapter from ENFIG.com, but... there are TWO antenna connectors in the Audi. The AVIC only has one so the question is; how to connect the other from the Audi? Notice that with the AVIC the AM reception is pretty much non existent (only able to get one station in DFW) whereas with the OEM radio got boatloads of AM stations.. Suggestions? Hints? This question has come up a LOT in the past on these forums...not sure what happened to all the old posts, but you need something like one of these: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/22824-pioneer-avic-antenna-connections/page__p__166190__hl__%2Bpioneer+%2Bavic+%2Bantenna+%2Bconnections__fromsearch__1#entry166190 http://www.carsystemshop.nl/product_info.php?cPath=55&products_id=2511&osCsid=509fc2fb189f08b98b088d7d065a54d3 http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/40_EU55.html http://www.rondevries.nl/index.php?page=producten_bekijken/detail.php&product_nr=15195&hoofdgroep=121&subgroep=1500 http://www.celsusice.co.uk/product_details.aspx?Product_code=AAN2203

To answer your question, the Fakra twin-diversity radio antenna adapter we got worked.... ....However, we had to carefully remove ONE of the RF connectors from within its green rectangular housing (see photo at either link below). That's because the off-white connector on the Audi's antenna wire had the AM & FM connections RIGHT next to each other, like two circles touching. It couldn't accommodate both the green boxes on the adapter's side. Here's basically the one we used http://cgi.ebay.com/...y-/300378516724 You could also use the following one... http://www.rondevrie...1&subgroep=1500
