bsnively
Is the process of updating he arrows for 8.3 the same as what's done for 8.0 I really just ended up taking somebody's data.zip file, and replaced the images in them (but am debating trying to do the right changes in the ui files as well) Thanks, Ben
hanibal
I would also like to change the arrow as well?
bsnively
for 3d - I am able to show the custom car image, but the arrow is still showing. What I've done so far is: 1. Update the data.zip w/ custom car image. 2. In the navigatemap800_480.ui - add a sprite that has the image outside the screen view space. 3. update the navigate.ui (in common folder) to either place the car image at the right y position - or off the screen space (where it's initialized in the navigatemap800_480.ui). The only issue I have is the 3d arrow still shows w/ the car image. Does anybody know how to eliminate the arrow in that mode? Will investigate further - figured I would give an update. Thx, Ben Edit: forgot one step - I updated the [map] section in the sys.txt to have: 3d_scale_carmodel=1 3dcarsizemin=3500 3dcarsizemax=5000 3dcarsizemul=10000
spaceywilly
this post might help you viewtopic.php?f=34&t=17490&start=45#p116696 I tried changing the 2D arrow to a bmp by just replacing the files but it doesn't seem to work. I rezipped the DATA.zip file and put it on my head unit, and now when I hit map, it just reboots. These are my files: http://myfiles.neu.edu/willard.mi/avic4 ... daycar.bmp http://myfiles.neu.edu/willard.mi/avic4 ... rghost.bmp http://myfiles.neu.edu/willard.mi/avic4 ... ghtcar.bmp http://myfiles.neu.edu/willard.mi/avic4 ... rghost.bmp
bsnively
Those are pretty much the steps I took - maybe I'll try that exact configuration for the sys.txt - but the rest of the steps are what I did for the above post...
