JL_26
oh it works BUT.....in my case, the license plate lights blind it, making it overexpose and i get a bright screen...but if i turn all the lights off its good visibility with the infrared lights...for 20 bucks its good
d12dirtydozen
^same thing was happening with mine too. I would get a glare and a white screen, but I could still see, just not as good as I wanted
m5james
there is a video wire which you need to run al the way to the head unit, typically behind back seat, under carpet, through console... then there are the power wires. If your backup lights are on the trunk like the license plate, tap power from them, so when it reverse the camera is powered. otherwise you will neet to run them from trunk lid to main body. That is where I am stuck. I want to power the camera whenever the car is on, so I cu enable it even when driving or parked. What would be the use for enabling the camera while driving? I'm looking around for cameras for my X5 and came across this little guy
VBLUE42
All BOYO's are CCD except the ones with a C at the end of the model number. Examples are VTL-300, VTL-320, VTL-400, and VTL-420. I use the 420. The VTL-300C is CMOS. And they only run about 100 bucks.

Pioneer4x4
What would be the use for enabling the camera while driving? Fun, see what the heck that car is 10" off your bumper at a traffic light...
