dashtwo
From the manual: Smart Zoom Enables the navigation system to zoom in automatically when you approach a guidance point and zoom out after you pass through it. You can setup the behavior while “Smart Zoom†is activated. When no route is set, the navigation system will simply zoom in or out depending on your speed. My F700 refuses to do this. I have tried 2d and 3d, i have tried all kinds of limits in the smart zoom settings. No matter what my speed the zoom level just stays the same (unless i have a route set). Is this working as described in the manual for anyone? My old gps with destinator software zoomed based on speed and it worked great. i would like the secret to getting this to work as described. thanks
Harvey_Gordon
A guess. Only a guess, but maybe it's what Pioneer meant. In the overview mode, I selected 5 mi as my zoom and 10 miles as my overview. What this does is - when I am within five miles of the next direction, the map is zoomed. When I am more than 5 miles, the map zooms out to a 10 mile overview. This is when a route is selected. For no route, I don't think I see any change in the zoom levels based on speed. Just my experience. Hope someone else can enlighten us more.
