jmdeike
I just had a couple quick questions. I have the AVIC-Z110BT on order but am wondering ahead of time where I should mount my antenna for the GPS. I will be installing on an 08 Civic SI Sedan and the factory Nav has an antenna that is installed in the dash underneath one piece of plastic. Will the AVIC-Z110BT's antenna work in that same location? Or should I install it somewhere on top of the dash? Has anyone else installed this under anything at all? if so, how well does it work? Thanks in advance, Jason
VBLUE42
Yes you can use that location. Just make sure the antenna is fixed to a metal surface. It will come with a magnetic sticky pad if you need it. I have min on top of the instrument cluster just underneath the top dash panel that fits over the steering wheel and I get max reception. stevecar
How bout the MSN direct antenna? Does that one need to go outside the vehicle like the xm or can it be inside hidden? Steve
fe342185
I just installed mine today. I placed the GPS antennabehind my speedometer.I pasted the metal plate onto one of the air ducts and put the antenna on it. It works great. The MSN direct module uses the radio antenna.
