Auto Screen Dim / Off Button?

A mod to either turn off screen from maps, or auto dim when on night mode. Screen is just to bright night driving and dont want to have to set the Brightness level every time.

there is a screen off button;its under system settings and assumeing your not a *insert appropriate intellegence insult here* you woulda hooked up the illumination wire and it would auto dim when the headlights are on.

The Problem is, that in a Number of European countries you are required to have your Headlights on all day. So the illumination wire does not have any effect for us here in Europe.

 

I found this in a different IGO forum and will try it out once I have time.

was fo a PDA, but under Windows CE, so for the moment I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

I had the Stereo store hook up the unit, But my car has daytime lamps, dont know if that matters, but I will check thanks!

Yeah I'd say they didn't hook up the Illumination wire. My 09 STI has DRLs and it does not affect the dimmer when the headlights are actually switched on/off.
