F900bt + iPod classic

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was trying to hook up my old iPod classic 20gb with the F900bt hoping I could just leave it in the car since my iPhone will use bluetooth for making calls.

In any case, I get an error message saying it's not a supported iPod. The support matrix shows it supported with software 1.1.1 and I have 3.1.1. Am I just out of luck? 1.1.1 seems crusty-old to me :)

Anyone have a fix?

Thanks,

Kevin

there was never an Ipod classic that was 20 gigs, the oldest Ipods that will work are Ipod videos (5th gen) which where availible in 30gb and 60gb, the classic's where made after that (120gb-160gb). the older ipods that would show pictures and not videos were 4th gens and the Ipods without color were 3rd gens and older.

again the oldest Ipods that will work are the 30gb and 60gb Ipod videos (5th gen)
