BobW
I'm trying to add a rear camera to my D2 and need to put the cable in it's socket. . I can't figure how to get the unit out. It was installed by CC last year. It has 4 small screws on each side. When I took them out the unit still would not slip out of the case. Thanks.

cntrylvr79
Pull on the dash bezel. The whole thing will come forward. Then disconnect the 15 or so harnesses plugged into the various switches. Put the truck in gear, then you'll be able to completely remove the dash bezel. Once that's done you'll see 4 7mm bolts holding the avic in. Remove them and your set. Just bypassed a z1 in an 06 superduty today so it's still fresh in my mind. BobW
What I'm trying to do is add a camera to our RV. I'll have a RCA cable coming from the back to the D2. I want the camera on all the time, not just when it's in reverse. The camera is one I got off of Ebay. It has a vedio out rca and power cable. I think I only need to connect this to the yellow video input, or does it go into the rear view camera input? I want to see traffic behind me whild driving.
cntrylvr79
Get power for the camera at the red wire and ground at the black wire on the d harness. Plug the rca into the rear camera input of the d. Once you enable the backup camera, you'll be able to switch modes on the nav screen to display the backup camera while driving.
