Alphamale4
I have an 04 350z with bose. I just pulled out my factory deck. I have 2 main black female ends. and 2 white looks like a smaller gauge female ends. what are the smaller hook ups for. I thought there were only 2 connecters. I have 4? what are the other 2 for? and do I need to hook them up. thanks Rich
cntrylvr79
Pictures would be helpful. There are 2 plugs that will have your power and speaker leads. Since you have the bose system the harness you'll need is the 70-7551. One of the other plugs will house the wiring for steering wheel controls if your car has them. Alphamale4
hahah NO, thats a pic i found on the internet. so the lower 2 are for what?
cntrylvr79
Oh thank god. The one on the left is for the steering wheel radio controls. The one on the right would be for the factory overhead/sat radio/ cd changer etc. In other words totally useless. Of course now that I look closer at the radio, that ain't the same setup as a nissan radio out of a z. Looks more like a toyota... But I could be wrong.
Alphamale4
na thats a 350z. weird cause my friend has an 03 and the radio is totally diff. Cnt, I have a quick question for you. I got the metra dash kit for the d2. I installed the d2 in the metra double din piece. Theres kind of a big gap on the bottom of the d2. Is that correct? The top is mounted flush, but theres a 2-5 mm gap that runs across the bottom. seems like there should be no gaps at all. correct me if im wrong.
cntrylvr79
To be honest I don't remember I haven't seen my old bosses car recently. We put in the same setup. Next time I see it I'll take a closer look.
