Newman
Is anyone else having this problem? When I am listening to my iPod when I get out of the car, when I get back IN the car the ipod will not automatically start playing. the ipod powers on, it says Pioneer on the screen and the nav recognized that the iPod is plugged in but I have to manually press play to get the ipod playing again. not only that, it always reverts back to the first song on the ipod. any suggestions as to what this might be? problem with the ipod? VBLUE42
Your battery may be depleting when not in use. Check your battery when you start the car next time. Also, you can try restoring your ipod and re-syncing your data to try and clear up the problem.

VBLUE42
I am convincing myself that will always solve stubborn ipod problems with these units. I may even sticky that suggestion.
S4
Last iPod I got (6th gen classic), before I put it in I restored it and did a reset on Avic (probably not necessary) and I have not encountered and disconnection issues after that. It's easy to do and it seems to work.
