Subiesaurus Rex
A friend got his F910 installed by a "pro" and has zero radio reception... no static, nothing. He has an Ipod hooked up, I am not sure if that is the culprit. I checked his factory antenna is plugged in (as long as the wire isnt cut or something) - The back of his unit looks to be hooked up just like my F700 that I installed in my car and a friends car (all three subarus WRX/STI's) - both of the units I installed have FM reception but both are F700s and NOT F910's like the one that wont get reception. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Ryan
Subiesaurus Rex
Any ideas? I am pretty stumped here ... Gonna try to update his firmware to the latest and see if that does anything but I am pretty sure its a wiring issue. Ryan
mtulbert
First thing that I would try is an external separate antenna to make sure that the unit is working properly. Next depending on antenna type, the antenna requires some power. Check to make sure that the antenna (if powered) is actually getting it. Hope this helps. M
terron
Tell that dumbass to take it back to the installer. And next time to do the install his self.
1loudls
check to see if the power antenna wire is hooked up, most cars that have either a shorty ant or an in glass antenna have a signal amp that needs to be powered, i also agree to use a different regular antenna to test to see if there is a problem with the unit itself.
