Also, if using dipstick cups from a third party company who is going to do the confirmatory testing, it is fraudulent to bill this code in the office setting. If not sending away for confirmation, you can bill the code, but the guys giving you their cups will not continue to do so. ICD9 can be a number of things including V codes.
