akilmomin Posted November 19, 2009 Report Share Posted November 19, 2009 I just my car with x710bt pre-installed in it. but the previous owner has a password on it. any way to get around it. stupid dealership dont even know the password. i tired the reset button but doesn't help. any ideas? 1loudls Posted December 8, 2009 Report Share Posted December 8, 2009 no way around the password, you will have to send it back to pioneer with proof of purchase (of the unit not the car) which you probably dont have, to have them reset it. its probably a better bet to be on the dealer's ass to call the person that they bought the car from and to get the password from them. The whole point of it is exactly what your running into. I would say you bought yourself quite the nice boat anchor. Where did you buy? Ebay? Guy on the street corner?
