shartley Posted November 27, 2006 Report Share Posted November 27, 2006 I just installed me N3 yesterday. Everything works but the navigation. It keeps asking me to insert the appropriate disc. shartley Posted November 27, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 27, 2006 Yes, brand new - just took the discs out of the factory rappers yesterday. They are CNDV-60M (version 1.0) East/West. The N3 doesnt seem to recognize the discs. I was looking in the owners manual on pg 125 where it talks about installing the 'program'. Since this unit was not installed at a shop, I thought maybe I had missed a step???? The Nav Screen is Grey and says 'Please insert appropriate disc'. After a minute or so of the unit displaying "reading format", no video displayed and I got another message that said "read error". Does ANYONE know or have any experience with this problem?? shartley Posted November 28, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 28, 2006 NEW UPDATE- I contacted Pioneer directly and was told the following - They told me that the Laser Pickup was most likely misaligned.
