wrxphantom Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 Where is MSN firmware stored on the f90bt. having a problem when loaded up a legit 3.0 stuck on MSN status screen "CONNECTING" for hours and hours. how can i manually upgrade the firmware? someone has to know. abb1 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 Yeah, this is a common problem if you had any previous mods done in the system. My suggestion is, as long as you have your Device ID and password that you set up, install the hacked version in this forum as that is what it was designed to do, fix this problem. The legit version just overwrites the files leaving any mods that were there prior conflicting with the unit. The hacked version TOTALLY reformats the drive and then installs the 3.0. It is the same mod and as long as you have your Device ID and password, it is still legit and good for upgrades and warranty. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
wrxphantom Posted December 14, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 Just did that and now there is no firmware. and tells me to insert sd card with proper firmware. i checked the sd card #2 that came with the upgrade and there is a file called msnd.firmware.z but when i tried to put that on sd card and insert into unit doesn't do anything. anyone have any wisdom they can share on how to fix MSN thanks so much Quote Link to post Share on other sites
