Very bad day at the office...

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I'm in the Uk, bought a f700bt, loved it so much bought another for my 2nd car this time from eBay.

Here the problem starts;

Just realised it's a US f710bt, when it boots up i don't have the system settings option, it's not highlighted.

I've tried using Test mode, downloaded from here the 2 files placed on an SD, but on boot up, the system just ignors the card?

How do i get into windows CE, to try and start to rectify my problem?

Thanks

UPDATE

Now managed to boot into WinCE.

Does anyone have an EU f710bt backup i could use on my system to see if that get's me working?

It is very odd, my system setting, my nav settings and the phone option are all greyed out, so i can't access them.

Satnav works and shows me my location, but it's not on the UK map, if i zoom out i can see earth, which is interesting!

I followed the instructions on here and bypassed it, just re wired it, now all option avail, poor wiring skills to blame.

Now it gets interesting, just checked the system and am showing;

Map 01.000800

Ver 2.009000

My unit is definately an F710bt, surely i should be on version 3?

I try to update with the f710bt 3020300 from the pioneer website and it doesn't pick it up and update.

So now i'm still in the UK with US maps and a unit that has that has the wrong version on it.

You have got to love Ebay!
