nated0323
I had a z2 with an unlocked hd and the wire bypass installed in my old car and everything worked great. I just installed it into a new car and now im getting the parking brake warning. Did I wire something wrong? I know that I grounded the e-brake wire, but cant remember what else was done on the old car. One more question.. An installer at a local shop said that I could mount the gps magnet under the dash as long as theres no metal above it. Is this true? Before I had it mounted to the dash against the windshield by the defrost vents and it worked fine, but in the new car theres nowhere to run the wire cleanly. Thanks for the help
garrettoomey
If you are getting the parking brake error, then the 2nd bypass wire is not grounded properly. Visit the hacks forum and review the bypass procedures. Yes, you can mount the GPS antenna under the plastic dash. That is how I have mine installed.
