dianebrat
The VR Catalog issue has nothing to do with your lack of sound. You have either: A: not hooked it up correctly, and/or are using a cable without RCA jacks, you need the RCA jacks for sound B: Didn't change AV1 to ipod.

I have it hooked up with the ipod cable to the USB port on the back... No rca's used... Like I was saying... The ipod control consol comes up on my HU and you can see that the music playing but you get no audio. As far as the VR dictionary that is constantly updating.... It only does it when cennected to the ipod

USB = Ipod control RCA = Audio and video.. I hope that makes it clear, and it's covered in the install documentation.. VR Catalog? yup.. also only ipod.. and in the manual, it's available online from Pioneer if you don't have the CD. There is no connection between the VR Catalog issues and the lack of sound because it's not hooked up correctly.
