kevfra
Hi - I have been using a 4gig memory stick for my music just fine - no problems. So I loaded up an 8gig stick and when I plug it in the system displays 'Format Read' and hangs there forever - nothing will change that. It doesn't lock the system, just won't play or move from that display message. I have tried cleaning the stick and loading music into folders, and other various approaches, but no matter it comes back with the same Format Read message and won't play the music. Plays fine on my desktop computer so I know it isn't the stick, which is an HP stick of good quality. Any ideas?
BigDog
Make sure that the stick is formatted to Fat32 or 16. Some times sticks tend to have some weird formatting on them.
AVIC-U310BT
Make sure that the stick is formatted to Fat32 or 16. Some times sticks tend to have some weird formatting on them. I second that suggestion. You will need to make sure it formatted FAT32. Make sure it is NOT formatted in NTFS, which would be readable from your PC but not your U310.
