stewie1031
So I recently installed the Z110BT in my '03 Tiburon due to my old head unit going out. Big step up. I have a Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod Adapter I used with my old head unit. I hooked it to the BT via the (ip bus in) port just as it was hooked to my old head unit. Upon testing my '04, second gen I think, iPod that I use as a music store just for my car the iPod did not receive power. I intend on checking the vampire splices on the power and ground wires that the adapter uses for power, but I was just wondering if anyone knows off hand if the adapter works with the Z110BT. On a related note I also connected my '04 iPod to the USB adapter that came with the BT and while I did get power I also received some type of security error on the BT screen. Any ideas? stewie1031
P.S...Oh and just so everyone knows I also hooked my iPhone to the BT via the USB adapter and it worked with out a hitch.
VBLUE42
There is no stated compatibility of the CD-IB100 with the Z110BT. You need to have the CD-IU50V iPod cable with the Z110BT if you want the iPod to work properly.
stewie1031
How about this Pioneer CDI200 Direct Cable for iBus Headunits and iPod (Black)? Huge savings.
VBLUE42
Once again, you need to have the CD-IU50V iPod cable with the Z110BT if you want the iPod to work properly.
Pogigreg
Why on earth would you even want to consider using a CD-IB100? Theoretically it would work. With that meaning you would not get the graphic visual interface that the CD-IU50V will give you.
CamelTowing
No video either. Can't cheap out on the cable after you've spent all that money on an awesome deck
VBLUE42
Exactly, I really don't understand when people spend the amount of money they spend on these units then try to nickel and dime for the essential accessories needed to get the capabilities and benefits you get with the unit.
