pf1130
After doing the F series hardware bypass on my X910BT I am getting the "enter password" screen. The problem is I never setup a password on this unit. I reversed the bypass and still get the same result. Anyone have any ideas?
VBLUE42
Did you do the bypass before you connected power to the unit for the first time?
jettech
Did you do the bypass before you connected power to the unit for the first time? does that matter ? I just purchased an x910bt and I'm planning on doing the bypass. Should I do it before or after powering on the unit the first time and why ?
VBLUE42
Are you locked out of your unit because of the password or not?
jettech
Are you locked out of your unit because of the password or not? I think you have me confused with the original poster. I have not installed mine yet. You eluded to the sequence of powering the unit on and doing the bypass as the reason he is locked out. I'm only trying to avoid the same mistake if thats the reason. So again, does it matter ?
VBLUE42
You only get locked out of your unit if "you" set the password, cut power to the unit, then reapply power to the unit and don't put in the password. So if you don't set the password in the first place you wont get locked out. The OP is suspicious in the fact that he is locked out of his unit without knowing the password.
