ryan321
Where do you connect the E break if you dont have one. I purchased the car (2001) Subaru Impreza with an alpine IVA w200 in it already. I had a Pac tr-7 connected to it? Do I still need it? I can’t find the E break line.. Thanks, Ryan
VBLUE42
Do the bypass per the instructions on this site.
ryan321
I did the bypass but... I broke the pin. I crushed my old alpine radio connector, cut the pin down to size and then pushed it in and ground it to the green wire. I hooked it up but it says it’s not grounded right, but I can use all the functions, but nav. So now I’m going to ground the black (ground) from the car to the black connector from the radio to the frame. Then if it still says it’s not grounded, I will re-ground the green, mute, and both black wires to a common ground. I’ll check back later tomorrow.
CamelTowing
You can visit your local car stereo store and buy a new harness for less than $20 if necessary
ryan321
Ok so i got it to work. Now all i need is the VSS line, then im home free. I went to my local radio shop anf they gave me a card with a website to buy one, lol. So i made my one for free and it works fine.Dose it matter what line i hook it up to? I have a Subaru and from what i understand theres two?
