mountainman30
Hi, I just picked up a 710. I was a difficult decision as high quality audio is a concern for me and with no mention of the CD mechanism, the D/A's, and limited audio control I suspect audio is a secondary function of this unit. If the 920 has a better audio section I will certainly be replacing the 710 with it. None the less it is a work vehicle so the convenient functions were too good to pass. If I am not happy the CD I will just have to put a Mac 406 in the glove compartment for serious listening:) Does anyone know if the audio section is CE based. If it is, a hack that provides more audio control would be great! My wish list:) Ability to turn off the sub X-over 3 Band parametric for the sub Selectable X-over slope for the front 31 band graphic or 10 band parametric with adjustable Q for the front Bandpass X-over for the rear 5 Band parametric for the rear Time delay
VBLUE42
The 920 appears to have the same software as the Z110BT and no hacking is currently possible with that unit. Answers to your questions below with the X920 running the same software as the Z110. Ability to turn off the sub X-over Yes. 3 Band parametric for the subSelectable X-over slope for the front 31 band graphic or 10 band parametric with adjustable Q for the front Bandpass X-over for the rear 5 Band parametric for the rear Time delay Not to the rest. john_tsouris
If you're that serious about the audio, the last thing I would do is let a head unit do anything. Buy an external sound processor, and get the features you want plus 50 more.
