VBLUE42
Recently @ CES 2010 PAC released a product that gives the avic z110bt (and others) the ability to use remotes. No lag and if used with the correct remote then it also allows activation of the voice function right from the remote! Not sure why pioneer removed the IR but this little add on from PAC is just what I was looking for. Part #: WRI-P works best with (CD-R510). This product completes the unit by giving it what it should have had in the beginning! PS. I love this forum, thanks to all Mods and members on this site! parruso
Hello I do not understand what you mean. You mean you can add a remote control to any Avic? To a f500 it be? I do not understand neither the PAC modification. Are any company or accessory? Thank you.
aerotight31
Here is a link to the installation manual. It might clear up some questions people might have. http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductData ... 111709.pdf  Also, here is a link to Amazon where the CD-R150 is for sale: http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-CDR510-Ca ... VBLUE42
Yes to the other F series units. I do not know about the F500 as it is a portable unit.
VBLUE42
FYI folks, it is stated in the install manual for the WIR that this will not support Voice Recognition for the F, X, or U series units. All other functions are supported.
parruso
Thanks for the link. in the f500 will not work because it has no IR connection. I thought it was something that could change in the motherboard, adding a sensor or similar, but not. Thanks anyway.
VBLUE42
It does. If the F500 has a wired remote input as the other F series units do this will work. Google the info I provided if you don't understand what I am referring to.

gotti2k7
Got mine yesterday. Paid 55 buck for both the Pac unit, and the remote. Got it installed last night. Havent played to much with it. ( Had to play with the wife ). On the F90 it seemed kinda laggy. Still gotta figure out all the button functions too. But it is nice to finally not have to reach out and touch to work it. And switching sources is way faster than going threw all the damn menus.
woody7795
Where did you mount the eye? I just ordered it and noticed it's square does the whole thing need to be visible or just the front? I wanted to mount it in the air vent above my f90
VBLUE42
I mounted mine to the left in the space between the steering column and the dash.
woody7795
Just an FYI I spoke with PAC and you can take the eye out of the black box. You just snap it out of the black case and mount it anywhere but they said fo it so you point the remote at the radio.
VBLUE42
The remote has to be pointed at the eye from the module, not the radio.
jmack549
Anyone have a link where I can buy this with a compatible remote? This seems slightly confusing to me.
