SIMMONS79
OK, i'm stomped! I got my unit hooked up a few days ago and everything works great EXCEPT bluetooth! I click on phone icon and everything is greyed out. WTF! I go into bluetooth setting and it says bluetooth is on but everything in that menu is greyed out as well! The only thing that i can select is Firmware update and it that box it's blank! I calle pioneer and they said it wont work unless your grounded to parking brake..blah, bah, blah. The bypass was done correctly and i know because DVD in motion works, Navi in motion works, etc. Pioneer said i might need to download bluetooth firmware again but guess what?? There are no updates to do that idiots!! I tried reseting over and over again and still no dice. Has any else experienced this problem with bluetooth?? Am i missing something?? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Hell i was tempted to download and reflash a X series Firmware to get it to work but i dont want to mess it up any more than it is. HELP GUYS!!!! VBLUE42
You need to recheck your bypass. The problem your describing indicates there is a problem with your bypass.

bit_bucket
Make doubly sure that your phone is properly paired and connected. Also that it is a supported. One way to tell if it is not connected properly would be that it would not list you carrier or signal strength in the phone menu.
SIMMONS79
I can't even register the phone on the settings menu because it is greyed out also. The only thing I can click on in the Bluetooth settings menu is firmware update tab and it's blank inside. This is nuts!! The funny thing is the Bluetooth is set to on it's just greyed out. At this point I would call Pioneer and get a replacement sent out. That sounds messed up. Good luck
