Dream
So I use to stream BT Audio on my old AVIC-D3 to my Motorola Droid and I could control play, pause, skip and back all from the headunit. Im going wire in my phone now via a 3.5mm cable, but im wondering what the best way to do this is. I DO NOT want to use the AV source on the front of the unit. I want to run it from the back. I was thinking about getting a cable like these two to make it work: Anybody have a better suggetion before I run all the cable through my car?
VBLUE42
You could get that in one cable but you have the right idea. You will use the AV1 source for this and you will need to set that input to VIDEO in the AV settings of the unit.
Dream
Got it all hooked up last night, works nice. The only thing I dont like is you cannot control the MP3 player from the unit, I just get a black screen that says "AV1". Meh.

VBLUE42
What control did the D3 offer other then the iPod?
Dream
What control did the D3 offer other then the iPod? The D3 thought my phone was a iPod, I could control play, pause, back and skip. All through the BT.
VBLUE42
O well, that is because the CD-BTB200 BT option for the D3 supported A2DP BT audio streaming. There is a thread in the F series forum that offers a solution for that. Click the thread below. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=23729
Dream
Yeah I read that thread, id rather have wired than crappy sound via a blutooth add-on. Ill probably grab the X920BT when that comes out.
