What size resistor is needed to get rid of the factory sub pop when the car is turned on? I just want something to do something simple that I can put in line with the remote turn on wire & not have to do the 276-1770 - Model 7805 that I read about on here. DENNISJR60 Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 10, 2010 When we fixed my map day/night problem we put a 3.3k 1/2wt resistor inline with the remote turn on & I no longer have any pop at all when I turn my car on.
