cntrylvr79
Hey that's my job! Just kidding. You also might be able to find it behind the radio it would be in a smaller harness plugged into the back of he radio. If that harness isn't there then you can also get it at the bcm. 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo Speed Sense green gray 16 pin plug @ BCM Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is located above the brake pedal. It is a plastic box with three plugs that face the firewall. merry xmas

axident
i do have a smaller plug in the back of my factory radio but i was under the impression that it was for onstar. i have heard conflicting answers about the location of the vss, under the hood and under the dash? sorry it took me so long to reply but ive been out of time and just started tackling this install today. didnt want anyone to think i dont appreciate the advice. thanx
cntrylvr79
It is for onstar. However the vss will be there if your stock radio had speed controlled volume. Just look for a green/white wire. If it's there you're golden if not, the bcm is pretty easy to get to.
