Avic-350z
So when I first bought my Avic-700bt, It was running version 2.0 and I had a hardware bypass on it. I played video files like .avi no problem and was able to view them while driving. But recently when I updated to 3.0 through wince files, I can no longer view those same files. The audio is present, but the Video is not. Now before you respond with a solution. Just know that a different .avi file Plays audio and video no problem. But the other ones still only give me Audio. Anyone know what the issue or problem is? any help is appreciated. --Joey
Aris
Try checking the video codec on the 2 files. If they match, well then I'm out of ideas. lol Just a thought....
Avic-350z
yeah the codecs are different, but I just thought it was odd that the video files would work on the STOCK 2.0 and not work on a hacked 3.0? Still trying to figure it out....Any other ideas?
Aris
I noticed the same with a couple of vids I had. 2 Avi's, one worked, one didn't. At first I thought it needed to be an mp4, then realized I was wasting my time converting.. Anyway, make sure the video codec is Divx. As to why it worked before and not now, I don't know. Perhaps the older version supported that codec and then it got yanked. Maybe to speed it up they cut some stuff out and that was one of em? Just spitballin here.
